The LADY BEHIND NAGA

I'm Michelle Saya!

Naga's Ethos

I'm a scorpio moon-INFJ biz owner, mindset coach based in New York and love leaning into all things sacred. In creating Naga Studio, I love to help other people grow powerful artisanal/wellness brands using the power of Pinterest & beautiful designed digital templates/guides. Let's get to work and create something meaningful for the world.

No matter how well-established you are within your industry, landing new clients as an entrepreneur can sometimes feel like a difficult task, and it’s certainly one that requires some careful consideration. Nobody wants to appear sleazy or salesy, but how is it possible to gain new customers without being too ‘full-on’?

Here are 6 simple ways to land brand new clients, without being that pushy business owner!

Keep your message clear.

When potential clients are exploring your business for the first time, the last thing you want is for them to be confused about what you’re offering. With an abundance of information available in just a simple click, if they can’t immediately see what you’re all about, you’ve already lost them. Make sure your message is clear and consistent across all platforms. Tell those potential clients in simple terms what their problem is and what you can do to solve it. Make sure the value of your work is crystal clear from the outset.

Speak directly to a very specific audience.

You can’t please everyone, and you shouldn’t want to. Trying to cover the needs of every single person is a recipe for a very generic message that doesn’t really speak to anyone at all. In trying to cater to the masses, you may actually be driving them away. Figure out exactly who your target audience is. What do they look like? How old are they? What are their values and interests? Get to know them inside out and be sure to speak to them in a way that will resonate.

Nurture an environment of trust.

You can shout from the rooftops about how great your product or service is all you like, but the most credible way to build a great reputation is to put this into practice. Make sure every client (and everyone in general!) that you work with or speak to is left with a positive memory. Go that bit above and beyond for each client and always conduct yourself with professionalism. Testimonials and reviews are probably the number one way to reassure potential new clients that you really do deliver the quality you claim to. Look after your clients, and they will look after you!

Create quality content on the right platforms.

Figure out where your target audience is hanging out and make sure you’re there, too! Whether you want to focus on a specific social media platform or a couple, make sure you have the time and resources to invest yourself fully. Post-high-quality content catered to your audience regularly, use hashtags and keywords to reach new followers and make sure to interact with members of the community. Integrate yourself and actually become a part of the group your potential clients are in, rather than preaching sales pitches to them 24/7.

Be a real person and empathize with your audience.

This goes hand-in-hand with the previous point. Make sure to take off your ‘salesperson’ hat and interact organically with your potential clients across their preferred platforms. Like and comment on their photos, share their content and showcase your real personality and empathy. Your audience is more likely to trust you if you let your guard down and present your real and relatable self.

Utilize the power of Pinterest.

As a visual search engine that potential clients turn to to find solutions to their problems, Pinterest is an absolute must for attracting new customers. As a business owner, you’re essentially selling some form of a solution, and you can bet there will be a group of people looking for just that solution on Pinterest! Why not create some blog posts that answer their questions and gently nudge them towards your paid resources? Make sure to use proper Pinterest SEO and keywords to ensure your pins are seen as much as possible by those potential new clients.

Landing new clients without being sleazy requires a bit of work and thinking outside the box, but it’s definitely doable! What are your favorite ways of landing brand new customers as an entrepreneur? Let me know in the comments!
